Offered here is a Gibson Skylark GA-5T tube type guitar amplifier that dates to around 1960-61. The tube complement is (1) 5Y3 GT, (1) ECL-82, (1) 12AX7. When found, it had a loud hum/buzz through the speakers when powered up. The power supply filter caps were replaced and it will play and sounds good.
However, because of its age, all the caps should probably be replaced. The tremolo does work and it has the typical tube breakup that you would expect. Plenty of natural tube distortion. The speaker is original, but is missing the decal that would have been on the back of the magnet assembly.Cosmetic condition is used and it looks its age. It cleaned up fairly well, but has lots of nicks, scratches, dings etc. No tears in the grill cloth. The Gibson logo is a new replacement.
The pilot light jewel has also been replaced. Other than those items, the rest is all original. I provide clear, quality pictures of the item and strive to accurately represent every item I sell.
Additional pictures may available upon request. I will do my best to answer as promptly as I can.
